ABOUT US
The Delaware Swedish Colonial Society (DSCS) was organized on March 29, 1940.
The Society designated two types of members:

General Members - Any person interested in the purposes of the Society may become a Member.

Colonial Members - Any person, may be designated a Colonial Member by furnishing to the registrar of the Society satisfactory proof of descent from one or more early Swedish ancestor(s).
Purpose

To promote an understanding and appreciation of Swedish culture and traditions.

To foster good relations between the peoples of the United States of America and Sweden.

To commemorate each year on or about March 29h the landing of the Swedish settlers at "The Rocks," in For Christina Park, Wilmington, Delaware. and,

To collect, preserve and publish records, documents and other material relating to the history of Swedish settlements in America
